PooPulse is developed by Bharat Apps Infotech ("we," "us," or "our").

PooPulse is a private bowel movement and digestive health tracker that helps users record bowel movements, Bristol Stool Scale entries, digestive symptoms, lifestyle factors, and generate 30-day medical summary reports.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the application.

1. Information We Collect and Process

Health & Digestive Information

PooPulse allows you to record health-related information including:

  • Bowel movement timestamps and frequencies
  • Bristol Stool Scale classifications (Types 1–7)
  • Digestive symptoms (such as pain, pain severity, blood observations, urgency, and straining)
  • Lifestyle, diet, and health context tags
  • Custom notes
  • Generated medical summary data

Local Storage

All health records, statistics, and preferences are stored locally on your device using local application storage.

We do not upload, store, or transmit your health information to our servers.

Biometric Authentication

If you enable App Lock, PooPulse uses your device's built-in biometric authentication (Fingerprint or Face Authentication).

Your biometric information is processed entirely by your device's operating system.

PooPulse does not collect, access, store, or transmit your fingerprint, face data, or security credentials.

Personal Information

PooPulse does not require or collect:

  • Name
  • Username
  • Email address (unless you voluntarily contact us)
  • Phone number
  • User accounts
  • Passwords

No registration or sign-in is required.

2. Technical Information and Advertising

PooPulse itself does not collect device information for its own purposes.

To support development, the app displays advertisements using Google AdMob.

Google AdMob may automatically collect certain technical information including:

  • Advertising ID
  • Device identifiers
  • Approximate location (derived from IP address)
  • IP address
  • Device information
  • Advertising performance and interaction data

This information is processed by Google according to Google's Privacy Policy:

3. How Your Information Is Used

Your locally stored information is used only to:

  • Record bowel movement history
  • Track digestive symptoms
  • Generate charts and health insights
  • Create 30-day medical summary PDF reports
  • Export and import JSON backup files
  • Restore your data from backups

PooPulse does not use cloud synchronization or online servers to store your health records.

4. Internet Access

Although your health records remain stored locally on your device, the app may use an internet connection for limited purposes:

  • Displaying Google AdMob advertisements
  • Checking for available updates on Google Play

Your bowel movement records, notes, and health information are never uploaded during these operations.

5. Device Permissions

Depending on your Android version and the features you use, PooPulse may request the following permissions:

Notifications

Used only to deliver optional reminder notifications that you choose to enable.

These reminders are generated locally on your device and are not used for marketing.

Biometric Authentication

Used only when App Lock is enabled to protect access to the application.

File Access

Used only when you choose to:

  • Export JSON backup files
  • Import JSON backup files
  • Save PDF reports
  • Share generated reports

The app never accesses your files without your action.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your bowel movement records or health information.

Your information remains on your device unless you choose to:

  • Generate and share a PDF medical summary
  • Export a JSON backup
  • Share exported files using Android's sharing features

Google AdMob may independently process limited technical information required to provide advertising services.

7. Data Security

Your health records remain stored locally on your device.

While we use reasonable measures to help protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If you export JSON backups or PDF medical reports, those files may contain sensitive health information. Protecting those exported files is your responsibility.

8. Data Retention

Your information remains on your device until you choose to:

  • Delete records within the app
  • Clear the application's data
  • Uninstall the application

Exported backup files and PDF reports remain wherever you save them until you delete them.

9. Children's Privacy

PooPulse is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us using the email below.

10. Your Rights

Because your health records remain stored locally on your device, you have full control over your information.

You may:

  • View your records
  • Edit your records
  • Delete your records
  • Export backups
  • Import backups
  • Clear all app data
  • Uninstall the application

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be reflected by updating this page and revising the Effective Date above.
