Privacy Policy for PooPulse

Last Updated: August 31, 2026
Effective Date: August 31, 2026

Welcome to PooPulse ("we", "our", or "the App"), a personal digestive health and bowel movement tracking application developed by Bharat Apps Infotech to help you record, organize, and understand your gastrointestinal wellness.

Your privacy is our utmost priority. Because PooPulse handles personal health and wellness data, we have designed the App with a strict "Privacy-First, On-Device Architecture".

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how your information is handled when you use the App.

1. Summary of Key Principles

  • 100% Local & On-Device Storage: Your stool logs, Bristol scale ratings, symptom records (pain, blood, urgency, straining), tags, and personal notes are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
  • No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, register, or provide personal credentials (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to track your digestive health.
  • No Sale of Personal Health Data: We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal health records or tracking data.
  • Full User Ownership: You have complete control to export, back up, restore, or permanently delete your data at any time.

2. Information We Collect and How We Handle It

A. Personal Health and Digestive Tracking Data (On-Device Only)

When you log an entry in PooPulse, the following information is saved strictly in your device's local storage:

  • Bowel Movement Details: Stool type (Bristol Stool Scale Type 1 through 7), timestamp, date, and "no movement" records.
  • Symptom Observations: Presence and severity of abdominal/rectal pain (1–10 scale), presence of blood, urgency, and straining.
  • Contextual Tags & Notes: Custom dietary tags (e.g., fiber, hydration, dairy, caffeine, stress) and private journal notes.
  • Calculated Metrics: History duration, average time between movements, and weekly digestive averages.

Important: This data resides exclusively in your device's private sandbox storage. We do not own, access, monitor, or synchronize your health records with any remote cloud database.

B. Automatically Collected Technical & Ad Data (Third-Party Services)

To support ongoing app development, maintenance, and the optional 24-Hour Ad-Free Pass feature, PooPulse integrates Google AdMob (Google LLC).

When you use the App with an active internet connection, Google AdMob and Google Play Services may automatically collect limited technical and device information, including:

  • Device Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (AAID / GAID), Android ID, device manufacturer, model, operating system version, and system language.
  • Diagnostic & Usage Data: Ad viewability metrics, ad click interactions, crash reports, and app performance data.
  • Network & Coarse Location: IP address (used by Google to estimate country or city-level location for appropriate ad serving and fraud detection).

You can review Google's privacy practices by visiting:
Google Privacy & Terms and Google AdMob Data Policies.

3. How We Use Information

The data handled by PooPulse is used strictly for the following purposes:

  1. To Provide Core App Functionality: Calculating your digestive baseline, displaying timeline and calendar feeds, and generating your 30-day medical summaries.
  2. To Generate Clinical PDF Summaries: Creating PDF reports that you can view, save, or share with your doctor or gastroenterologist.
  3. To Deliver Advertising & Rewarded Ad-Free Passes: Serving non-intrusive banner ads and rewarded video ads (which grant you 24 hours of completely ad-free usage across the app).
  4. To Maintain Stability and Security: Detecting crashes, ensuring Android 16 compatibility, and preventing fraudulent ad clicks.
